Older Malayalis will remember mundum jumperum as something the ‘Muthassis’ or ‘Ammachis’ used to wear, the younger generation from old photos or perhaps not know about it at all. They will always remember it from chemmeen, as what Karuthamma and the other women wore, or from the recent reminder of it in Cellulloid, what Rosie wore.
Mundum Jumperum basically is a mundu and a loose top that almost looks like a blouse that the women in Kerala wore.
